Re: Runner Ducks
Thanks Tigerlily
Their new house has lots of space, so they may need some friends to make it more cosy.

Re: Runner Ducks
You'll be finding a reason to visit your daughter quite frequently then, I should think!!
Send lambs photo if possible - they don't stay that way very long - do you enjoy spinning and knitting?!

Re: Runner Ducks
Actually found the perfect house for us down that way, farmhouse with 14 acres ! Mr Admin not keen although the need for a tractor or two might tempt him
I will have to do some research on fleeces, not sure we would get much wool from 13 sheep but no idea really. They aren't teeny tiny lambs, 5 months old and sumo wrestler type ! next year we will have tiddlers, hopefully. I will get some pics when they have moved in, strangely they were bred in Devon, came to Somerset and now going back to Devon, well travelled.

Re: Runner Ducks
Oh, yes, a tractor would be tempting, I'm sure - sounds like a great plan! Nudge, nudge, Edwin.
Sumo wrestler-types - great description, Nelly - and very woolly, I expect!
My mother did spinning and hand loom weaving - wove a beautiful "blackberry" coloured background piece of cloth that Dad had made into a jacket that we called The Harrison Tweed.
So therapeutic, animals, aren't they? Our cats (Tiger and Lily) don't do a lot at 16 now, but our lives revolve around all their funny ways and their comings and goings. Takes your mind off many other things.
Enjoy! Love from Tigerlily xxxx

Re: Runner Ducks
Daughter in Devon acquired a 5 week old kitten last month, cat number 4 ! she is so tiny, we have looked after her over several weekends so thoughts of kittens have been circulating the house but I am resisting the pressure from others !! I don't think our 2 oldies would appreciate a pocket rocket tiddly joining the mad house.
Right better get on, mucking out to do before it rains.
Hope your day goes well Tigerlily

Re: Runner Ducks
Never had a kitten - ours were 4 when we got them from Cats Protection - Peter has, though, and says they're delightful.
Yes, have a good day, Nelly - we're out to lunch today - a rare treat.
